William Oliver, PHd

Dr. William (Bill) Oliver was named Director of Education for CSP MGT, LLC (CSP) in January 2013. Dr. Oliver is responsible to provide the highest level of intellectual, managerial, and financial leadership in all aspects of education abroad and related matters.  Key expectations include:  (i) conducting a comprehensive review of current education strategies, programs, policies, patterns of participation, and operations, with an eye to innovation and to creating desirable improvements and new ventures; (ii) maintaining a strong link to comprehensive academic advising, while also finding new ways to integrate education more fully with developing priorities; (iii) addressing constraints posed by highly structured and sequenced curricula in the disciplines; increasing opportunities for study in all areas of media functioning as a key member of academic groups .

Dr. William Oliver retired after nearly 20 years, as provost and Chief Operating Officer of Northwood University of Dallas, Texas. Currently he is an adjunct professor of Harding University, and a private consultant.

He received his B.S. from University of Alabama, and his Ph.D. from Union University graduate School.

Dr. Oliver served as Chief Court Reporter for Wayne County Circuit Court, Detroit, Michigan. Bill received an appointment by the Governor of the State of Michigan to his circuit court position, after which he had a 23 year-year career in the Michigan Judicial System. He served as president of a 33,000 member professional association and he presented business awareness and communication seminars in 43 states and five foreign countries. Dr. Oliver functioned as a faculty member for Burapha University, Bangkok, Thailand in their MBA and PhD programs.

Dr. Oliver is an activist for the equal rights of those with disabilities, assisting in the establishment of several programs that literally broke the ―sound barrier for deaf citizens. He helped establish the educational program under President Bush’s Americans with Disabilities Act, and serves as an interpreter for deaf and hard-of hearing individuals.

Dr. Oliver most values his walk with Christ, having served as an Elder at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, and leading a very unique Christian study group; and, most values his life with his love, Sandra Phillips Oliver, for 54 years, his children and grandchildren.
